Meth Coffee - Ok I get humor and I’m not easily offended, not so sure it’s wise to market coffee under the name of meth though.  As someone who has personally watched up close what meth does to a family, I don’t find meth funny at all.  I’m just lucky enough that the person I watched battle it survived and beat it and is meth free for quite some time now.   Trust me I do get the humour in it, and to each his own, I mean to imply your coffee is that strong, tee hee… But the full on marketting it like it’s well… meth… eh good for a gag gift but as a serious coffee?

The full list of the Starbucks closures…

Of course Starbucks says it is providing this list as general information only and not as an obligation on their part to actually close these stores.  Perhaps because they knew some people would protest some of the closures?  Seattle takes it’s Starbucks seriously afterall, they are collecting signatures to save a store there.

Want to save yours?  Good luck, but here’s your starting point: Save Our Starbucks

Naked Coffee Drinker charged.  LOL.  Seems he slept in his van behind the firehouse, woke up, wanted to enjoy his morning coffee in the nude, and stepped outside.   Oopsie.

Like your coffee?  Like your peanut butter?  Ever wanted to mix your two addictions?  Now you can.  P.B. Loco’s Peanut Butter with European Cafe Mocha is, in their words “An amazingly dee-lish blend of European chocolate, espresso and premium peanut butter. You will feel like you are in your favorite coffee bar. Only you will not be. You will be eating really really good peanut butter.”  16 oz = $6.95

They have several other interesting flavours but I think we’d all prefer coffee to sun died tomato PB *nods*

If you want to try some at home roasting - Check out Sweet Maria’s.  They’ve got hint, tips, products, a little of everything.

Web quiz time… how addicted are you to coffee?

My boyfriend has informed me that a coffee cup on a coffee cup must somehow affect the universe, but I’ll take my chances… It announces a warning - that if the cup is empty, you should not attempt to contact the owner unless you have coffee. Clicky clicky click on the picture for more info.

Ok another health story on coffee, this one is a bit more personal as I have MS.  It seems that early tests on mice prone to an MS like disease who were given the mice equivalent of 6-8 cups of coffee didn’t actually develop the disease.  Further testing will need to be done of course, it could just work on mice.  Or it could translate to the human illness, they don’t know yet.  But if it affects humans well I hope you all drink a lot of coffee because trust me, MS isn’t something you want.  And considering the way MS affects the body it could be helpful with other illnesses as well if they do find it helps humans.
