VASSALBORO (NEWS CENTER) — A proposal to open a topless coffee shop in Vassalboro has been approved for permit by the town planning board. (Read rest of the story here).
Really, who needless topless bars? The coffeeshop will open at 6 and I bet it’s cheaper than a topless bar!

Raise high the coffee bean! Good news, coffee-drinkers: a new study shows your beverage of choice may lower your chances of getting oral, esophageal and pharyngeal (back-of-the-throat) cancer. (Rest of Story HERE).
See! Always a new story on how good coffee is! We’ll ignore the bad ones

The Federation of Colombian Coffee Growers has launched a multimillion dollar lawsuit against cartoonist Mike Peters, over a Jan. 2 “Mother Goose and Grimm” strip that jokes of a link between Colombian coffee with crime syndicates. (Rest of story HERE).
Err, that’s not nice, though I’m not sure it’s worthy of a $20 million lawsuit. Now cartoonists will be asking for a bailout!
See it’s not just for drinking. That’s right, it’s a watercolour too! I’m not so sure that my boyfriend would appreciate me using coffee as paint. He’s wants to move across the street from a coffeehouse but is afraid that if we do, he’d go bankrupt. Can you imagine how thrilled he’d be if I tempted him with the smell of coffee in the house 24/7 and then announced “Sorry I’m using that for a painting, don’t drink it”.
Anyway, if the video appealed to you and you’d like to own some coffee art of your own then wander on over to Angel and Andy’s website: http://www.justcoffeeart.com. Of course if you’re on a budget they sell prints too – coffee aroma on those not included.
But wait, what’s that? You’re an art snob? If you’re going to own a print it’s going to be of a classic, perhaps the Mona Lisa. Well then coffee-art.com might have the solution. Site owner Karen, also uses coffee in her art, but has reproduced some of the most identifable pieces of art and so yes, you can buy a print of the Mona Lisa, sorry, Mona Latte.
Alternatively you can always just run down to your nearest dollar store, find some cheap coffee (I wouldn’t waste the good stuff on this), and create your own masterpiece!
