My boyfriend has informed me that a coffee cup on a coffee cup must somehow affect the universe, but I’ll take my chances… It announces a warning – that if the cup is empty, you should not attempt to contact the owner unless you have coffee. Clicky clicky click on the picture for more info.

A Christian organization calling itself “The Resistance” has released the following press release:

Starbucks has recently introduced a new version of their logo which features a topless mermaid with her legs spread, which has caused outrage from a nation wide Christian media watchdog organization. The Resistance, with has over 3000 members nationwide, is boycotting Starbucks across the country saying their new logo is inappropriate.

The Starbucks logo has a naked woman on it with her legs spread like a prostitute, explains Mark Dice, founder of the group. Need I say more? It’s extremely poor taste, and the company might as well call themselves, Slutbucks.

Starbuck cup, naughty mermaid?

I kind of like her, guess I’m going to hell :P

This is mainly a test post. It’s also about what inspired this site, a Starbucks cup. I don’t know about your Starbucks, but mine likes to ask for your name so they can write it on the cup and never use it. I always speak clearly but I have an unusual name and Starbucks employees don’t tend to like to ask how to spell it. So every weekend on our trip to Starbucks, my boyfriend and I like to tee hee over how many ways they spell my name. For the record, my name is Ramie and is pronounced Ray-me. I’ve never had it spelled correctly on a Starbucks cup, unless they ask, and as I said they don’t like to ask.

How does that lead to us starting a blog? Well I thought I’d seen every possible variation of my name until I saw it spelled with a Q. Apparently I’m Quami now. We decided that I should start a blog with all of the different spellings, for fun. But hey, even with a new spelling every weekend, one can only post so many Starbucks cup pictures and since my mom used to own a coffeeshop we’ve decided to write a blog about all things coffee. It will be a joint effort. Which is a good thing… Because a cup like Quami is a rare thing. Rami… Ramey… Raimie… those I get every few weekends. But mom, she actually knows something about coffee.
